Job Responsibilities:
GENERAL SUMMARY: Develops, organizes, and conducts training and educational programs for customer personnel; works under general supervision; performs additional duties as assigned.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develops, tests, maintains, and delivers training programs and related materials in support of customer training objectives;

2. Establishes course content and objectives;

3. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities;

4. Maintains records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness;

5. Updates course documentation on a regular basis to ensure timeliness and relevance;

6. Maintains current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications as assigned;

7. Participates in special projects as required.
Required Education:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Typically requires 2-5 years of directly related military equipment training experience;

2. Bachelors Degree, military maintenance experience or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.

3. Instructor Basic Course training / certificate.

Required Work Experience:
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the development and delivery of military training programs;

2. Knowledge of relevant software and computer equipment as required;

3. Demonstrated effective presentation and communication skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS: The work is typically performed in an office environment and at client site locations, which requires proper safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.

Power Generation Equipment Repair, � Knowledge on tactical utility, precise Power-Generation sets, internal combustion engines and associated equipment, maintaining and repairing motors, generators, switchboards, and control equipment. Reading technical guides and diagrams to locate damaged parts of generators and control equipment to include; repairing power and lighting circuits, electrical fixtures, and other electrical equipment, detecting and locating grounds, open circuits, and short circuits in power distribution cables and connecting emergency power to the main control board from an emergency switchboard.

Installation Service Technician

ABOUT US

 
Henry Bros. Electronics is expanding!  Through December 2007, sales have grown nearly 400% since 2001 (37% last year alone) and we would like to continue to accelerate this growth with you.  Last year alone we increased employment by 15%, and opportunities abound in HBE.  In order to continue our rapid growth, we need 5-10 Service Technicians to support customers located in NYC, western Long Island and, in New Jersey, Essex and Bergen Counties.
 
POSITION OVERVIEW: Installation Technician primarily will perform installation-related functions with occasional Service/Maintenance related tasks.  This employee must possess superior technical skills, adaptability, sound judgment and the ability to act independently.
 
In this position you will be installing surveillance cameras on United States Marine bases, both in the USA and Asia. Exact location to be determined.
 
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned. Essential functions may vary by location.
 
INSTALLATION

Install CCTV, Access Control and Intercom Equipment and ancillary equipment
Install and pull wires and cables
Test installed equipment and program system head end
Troubleshoot any system level or individual equipment problems
Assist Project Manager coordinating efforts with other trades
Document activities on a daily basis, noting hours worked and tasks performed
Submit requisition for management approval for parts needed
Maintain tools and equipment in proper working order

 
SERVICE

Provide technical advice and support to customers via phone and in the field
Provide customer with additional training and information when approved by
Responsible for field preventive maintenance and repair service in accordance with maintenance agreement, warranty and/or manufacturer’s approved procedures
Follow all safety standards
Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair any system or component level equipment failures
The termination and testing of replaced components and equipment
The programming of system “Head End" equipment as required.
May be required to be on-call after normal working hours and on weekends/holidays
May be required to work overtime as necessary to restore vital security components/systems
Must maintain a clean, orderly work area at the customer facility
Carefully and neatly maintains time card, job ticket information, documents all work accurately, and then submits to Project Administrator on an as required basis.


Insures that all customer site and agency safety procedures are followed
Assist Project Manager in coordination of efforts and cooperation with other trades as required
Perform all work to Company and Manufacturer’s Standards
Assist Engineering and Project Management with Start up and Close out as required

 
 
SUPERVISORY DUTIES:  May perform supervision of apprentices and less experienced technicians in accordance with Company policies, to include: orientation and training, planning assigning and directing work, coaching and appraising performance, and resolving problems.
