VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Advanced Resource Technologies, Inc. (ARTI), is currently recruiting for a Travel Specialist in support of a contract with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency at our Arlington, VA location. SUMMARY

The Travel Specialist is responsible for providing travel support services for routine business travel and interface with the Government Commercial Transportation Office (CTO) to assist with transportation for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

� Will oversee and train other admin assistants one-on-one and end users in a formal classroom setting on specific DARPA travel related programs.

� Develop and prepare course outlines, training aids, and classroom materials.

� Consult with end users to assess problems making recommendations for changes to training.

� Will serve as liaison with other offices, vendors and the DARPA technical staff.

� Processes government travel orders.

� Review travel vouchers within the Defense Travel System (DTS).

� Act as a member of the help desk for DTS.

� Maintains file system containing all travel related information.

� Carefully examines travel vouchers for accuracy and completeness before forwarding to the Defense Finance & Accounting Center (DFAS).

� Works with traveler to resolve any travel voucher questions or errors.

� Faxes or mails vouchers to DFAS and updates database to reflect status.

� Works with DFAS to resolve any unpaid or delinquent voucher issues.

� Prepare Weekly Activity Report and Departure Report, for the Agency.

� Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

� A Bachelors degree and a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible travel industry experience are required. (9+ years experience to include 5 years specialized travel experience can be substituted for the degree.)

� Must possess knowledge of airline ticketing procedures, travel regulations and procedures, passport/visa functions, processing government travel orders and travel vouchers.

� Have a thorough knowledge of operating an electronic reservation and ticketing system.

� Must possess knowledge of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) orders for civilians only.

� Must possess knowledge of the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR) and the Joint Federal Travel Regulation (JFTR).

� Must have excellent computer skills with MS Office Suite, internet, and travel system experience.

� Must have experience dealing with Government travel organizations and DFAS.

� Experience with the Defense Travel System (DTS) is required.

� Must have strong organizational and problem solving skills.

� Must have strong oral and written communications skills, and experience making presentations to senior level management.

� Ability to effectively interact with personnel at all levels in a dynamic work environment is required.

� Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.

SUMMARY

The Facilities/Logistics Support Specialist for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) reports to the Space Manager, Facilities Services Office for functional tasks involving physical work with office furnishings and maintenance management activities. The primary tasks associated with furniture support will be to inventory, store, move, and assemble and assist in ordering, furniture for DARPA offices at the headquarters facility.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

� Responsible for hanging items of furniture such as pictures, cork boards, white boards, and other furniture items on walls throughout the facility.

� Move and assemble conference room furniture as required. There may be times when furniture may be moved from and to off-site storage.

� Utilize databases / spreadsheets to register and monitor maintenance reports and maintain the inventory of furniture.

� Perform maintenance support services for Facilities Services Office under the tasking coordination by the Maintenance Manager.

� Provide general building maintenance. Respond to maintenance calls from the tenants, verify maintenance issues, report maintenance tickets to building ownership and WHS, check facilities for maintenance and service standards, and assist in performing minor maintenance repairs.

� Hours of operations for this section will be staggered to provide coverage of the customer base from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. There may be periods where non-standard work hours are required.

REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience:

� Require a high school diploma and 3 years of experience with office furnishings and office space maintenance management activities.

� Must have ability to interpret instructions, specifications, and mechanical ability to assemble various furnishings and to perform minor facility repair functions.

� Must be able to lift 75 lbs. weight.

� Must be proficient at using computers with Microsoft software applications to register and monitor maintenance reports and maintain the inventory of furniture.

� Must possess a positive attitude and the ability to interact with all levels of Government and contractor personnel and offices within DARPA. Experience working with DoD, OSD, Military Service, or other Government organization is desired.

� Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.

� Accuracy and attention to detail.

� Good communication skills; communicate respectfully with a diverse community.

� Ability to interact with others with tact and diplomacy.

� Must be able to learn quickly and should possess very strong attention to detail and quality.
